Amman proudly presents Arabia’s first skateboard company.

Philadelphia Skateboards consists of skaters providing for skaters. being the first skateboard company in the Middle East, our goal is to help bring the sport to the spotlight, provide the skaters of the Middle East with top of the line products and gain international recognition to the Middle Eastern skate scene.

    looks like a cool thing you got going on there, good graphics etc but why name it Philadelphia if you are repping the middle east? i reckon get some Arabic script up on there and rep properly!

    todd my friend, you make a good point.
    im getting this question alot, well here’s the answer.
    amman, where “philadelphia skateboards” started was named “philadelphia” in the roman times, thus the name “philadelphia skateboards”.

    the reason we thought of this name, is that we wana give out the idea that this is the ancient philly and the ancient east, another thing amman can relate to philadelphia in the states is “thaqafeh street” which is the main skate spot in jordan, this place is similar in many ways to the philadelphia’s own “Love park”, you can say its the “love park” of jordan.

    Thanks for the reply Moe, now it all makes sense. I grew up in the Philadelphia area of the USA and was not aware that Jordan was the original Philadelphia!

    I am currently studying Arabic at uni and plan on heading over that way as soon as i can, i wanna skate the Jordanian Love park!

    I saw a cool Philadelphia board on the streets of Boston. The rider sucked but the board was great looking.
